New Programming and Classes for 2024
I've been busy on my end, I have a couple classes I'm going to be adding to my summer schedule, and I've decided to take a retreat at The Christine Center in a couple of weeks.
I've been busy on my end, I have a couple classes I'm going to be adding to my summer schedule, and I've decided to take a retreat at The Christine Center in a couple of weeks.
In April, I'll be taking another retreat with Karen Hering, "On the Cusp of Change: where memory and imagination meet." I've taken a few retreats with Karen, and they've all been lovely. She tailors her retreats to all kinds of writers; there's usually a mix of people who write professionally and people who write only for themselves. The Christine Center can be a little rough around the edges, but I love their little cabins and the campus. The Christine Center does have shrines and religious imagery up around their grounds and buildings and a lot of religious programming, but it's open to presenters and participants of all faiths, and I've found it to be welcoming. Their retreats are very affordable and include meals.
I'm going to be teaching two classes in June.
On 6/25, I'm going to be starting a "Queering Epistolary Fiction" class that will meet for six weeks at Arkana Books in Appleton, WI on Tuesdays from 6 - 8 p.m.
On 6/29, I'm going to be facilitating "A Writing Plan for Hard Times" again in-person at The Loft in Minneapolis. The registration isn't up yet, but I've confirmed with Loft staff.
