Pause and Renew

Over the weekend, I facilitated my first creative retreat at The Christine Center. It was called "Pause and Renew," and for three days, we explored our respective creative processes.

The first day's focus was what's been holding us back.

The second morning gave us some time to dig a bit deeper and look at our current creative processes and what we hoped to get out of an afternoon of communal and independent creative time. We came back together after the lovely dinner cooked by Christine Center staff and shared experiences from the weekend so far as well as what we'd been working on.

Sunday morning after breakfast, we built on the Friday and Saturday's work by talking about what worked both before and during the retreat in regards to our creative processes and brainstormed small, actionable steps we could each take as we transitioned back to our daily lives.

This was a great experience for me and reminded me why I love teaching more creative subjects. A lot of my facilitation at my day job is centered around technology and organizational processes.

I'm looking forward to continuing to explore this facet of my life; I already have two classes I'm lined up to facilitate at The Loft starting in January.
